The incredible children’s art network (iCAN) will host a reception for the newest instillation at the Art is Vital Gallery, March 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. As part of 1st Thursday, the event showcases

Inspired by the work of contemporary artist, Mark Jenkins, the instillation will include illuminated figures of student musicians playing instruments, messaging the importance of promote the continued support of arts programming in schools throughout Santa Barbara County. (INSERT QUOTE) said iCAN Teaching Artist, Shannon McCain Jaffe.

Each piece was the result of a collaborative lesson between iCAN’s Visual Arts and Music Program, both located on the Franklin campus.

Through inspired teaching, high quality programming, and community exhibitions, iCAN encourages each Student Artist to develop as individual artists, refining their ability to think creatively, work collaboratively, and pursue excellence in all areas of their life.


The iCAN Fall Art Show welcomes parents, friends, Teaching Artists, and members of the community celebrate students’ creative achievements.  These  iCAN collection on display at Art is Vital (Elizabeth Gordon Gallery) beginning February 14th .
